KETOHEXOSE
A ketohexose is a hexose with a keto group on one end. Ketohexose is a monosaccharide consisting of six carbon atoms and a ketone group.
The Ketohexoses have three chiral centres ("asymmetric carbon atoms") and so 8 different stereoisomers are possible.
