POLITICAL DONOR CLASS
A term used in David Cay Johnston's book Perfectly Legal: The Covert Campaign to Rig Our Tax System to Benefit the Super Rich - and Cheat Everybody Else, to describe wealthy individuals (the "Upper class") or corporations who use political contributions to influence US Government fiscal policy. According to Johnston, while politicians can claim that money does not buy influence, they cannot deny that money buys access.
