UNIVERSITY OF BORDEAUX

The University of Bordeaux is an organisation consisting of four autonomous universities:

• Université Bordeaux 1 [1] - natural science
• Université Victor Segalen Bordeaux 2 [2] - medicine and life sciences
• Université Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux 3 [3] - the liberal arts
• Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV [4] - political science and law

Bordeaux 2 is located in the city centre, while the other three were relocated in the 1960s to Domaine Universitaire, a vast campus located in the communes of Talence, Pessac and Gradignan. Among the most well-known institutions are:

• Institut d'études politiques de Bordeaux [5] (Political Studies Institute, commonly known as "Sciences Po"), an elite school for future policy-makers,
  
• Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature (National School of Magistrature) [6],
  
• Law School of the University Bordeaux IV [7], often described as the best of the country, and certainly one of the best,
  
• Bordeaux Ecole de Management (Bordeaux Business School) [8], one of the best of its kind
• École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers
• Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique (LaBRI) [9], a computer science research center
